Sheldon Smith

Sheldon Smith has extensive experience in scientific and project management roles within the fields of physics and engineering. Currently serving as an Accelerator Operator at Canadian Light Source Inc. since October 2021, past positions include Project Manager at Continental Mine & Industrial Supply Ltd., where oversight of mining project components and in-house software development was performed. Previous roles at Canadian Light Source involved project management for beam line upgrades and biomedical beam line development, in addition to research assistant positions focused on experimental facilities and industrial liaison. Smith holds multiple degrees in Physics, including a Master of Science from the University of Saskatchewan, and a Bachelor of Science from the same institution.
