Anna Blaney

Anna Blaney is an experienced Event Manager currently working at Canalys since July 2019. Anna began their academic journey at Dodderhill School, followed by Royal Grammar School Worcester, and completed a BA (Hons) in Politics and International Relations from Loughborough University, graduating with a 2:1. During time at Loughborough University, Anna served as a Student Ambassador and held the role of Student Involvement Officer for the Politics, History, and International Relations Department. Prior to Canalys, Anna contributed as an Assistant Event and Marketing Manager at ShowStar Entertainments and worked as a Marketing, Events, and Communications Consultant for Hays. Anna’s work experience includes an administrative role in the parliamentary office of RT Hon Sajid Javid. Additionally, Anna held the position of Company Secretary for Young Enterprise UK, showcasing strong leadership skills from an early age. Research during university focused on social media’s role in recruitment strategies for terrorist organizations, analyzed through Moscovici's Theory of Conversion.
