Hany Guabrial

Hany Guabrial has worked in the finance industry since 2017. In that time, they have held multiple roles at three different companies. From 2017 to 2020, they were a Research Analyst at Sigma Capital Holding, where they built valuation models for mining companies and assets and researched market trends and competitive positioning. Hany was also responsible for developing relationships with clients in the investment management and investor relations community. In 2020, they became a Portfolio Manager at the Student Investment Advisory Service (SIAS), where they were responsible for the decision-making of the investment strategy and managed a global portfolio with CAD c. 13.14mn AUA invested in global markets. Currently, they are an Equity Research Associate at Canalyst, where they independently build and reviews detailed financial models on both existing and new coverage across all global geographies, develops and maintains sector and subsector expertise to inform model construction and review, and applies best practices developed by sector specialists.

Hany Guabrial is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Finance, General at Simon Fraser University, which they are expected to complete by 2022. Hany previously obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, General through a joint program between Cairo University and Georgia State University, which they completed in 2017. In addition, they have obtained two certifications: Bloomberg Market Concepts (BMC) from Bloomberg LP in March 2021, and Building a Financial Model (of a Company) from The Marquee Group in March 2021.
