Michael T.

Michael T. is the President & CEO of CANARIE and the Chair of the Board of Governors of The Ottawa Hospital. They have held senior leadership roles across technology and public sector organizations, including President, IT & Cyber Solutions at Calian IT & Cyber Solutions (2023–2025) and President & CEO, Director at Invest Ottawa (2017–2023) and Cours Bayview Yards (2017–2023). They also led at Microsoft as VP Public Sector (2007–2017) and at SAP as SVP, Public Sector (2004–2007), with earlier positions at Fujitsu Canada (SVP, Ontario Atlantic Market Segment, 2002–2004), Electronic Data Systems (EVP, E.Solutions, 1997–2000), Digital Equipment Corporation (USA) (Vice President, 1984–1996), and JDSU (VP, Global Accounts, Customer Service, 2000–2002). Michael T. held an MBA from Concordia University (1991–1993) and a Computer Technology/Computer Science credential from Algonquin College (1981–1984). They also served as a World Economic Forum Fellow (2023–2024), and their work is guided by commitments to enabling research and innovation, championing healthcare excellence through governance and community leadership, and building inclusive teams.
