Mari Makkonen has extensive experience in marketing and communications. Mari is currently the VP of Marketing & Communications at Canatu, where they have led the development and implementation of the company's brand strategy. Prior to this, they served as the Marketing Director at Canatu.
Before joining Canatu, Mari worked at Serres Oy as the Marketing Manager. In this role, they established the marketing function and team from scratch and led the brand renewal process. Mari also established the digital marketing platform, including website renewals and marketing automation.
Earlier in their career, Mari held the position of Manager of Marketing & Communications at Marioff. Mari was responsible for leading and executing all marketing and communications activities for the company. Mari developed the marketing strategy, managed global marketing teams, and oversaw the implementation of various marketing initiatives.
Throughout their career, Mari has demonstrated expertise in brand strategy, digital marketing, market research, and team leadership.
Mari Makkonen completed their Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration from Helsingin kauppakorkeakoulu from 2001 to 2006. In 2003, they also participated in foreign exchange studies at HEC Montréal. Prior to that, they graduated from Ristiina High School in 2001 and obtained a secondary school diploma. Mari also earned a US High School Diploma from Washington High School in 1999.
