David Jacobs

David currently oversees Candid's integrated database, which feeds products such as Foundation Directory Online with updated information on hundreds of thousands of grantmaking and recipient organizations, as well as millions of newly captured grants annually. David ensures that the data keeps flowing, and that stakeholder needs are met.

Having joined the organization in 1996, David has been a veteran of Candid for 20+ years, a large portion of which has been dedicated to working on improving how we collect, cleanse, classify and enhance our data for the good of the philanthropic sector. Since 2015 he has been putting this experience to use working closely with design teams over the course of two major database builds to make sure current and future needs are accounted for. David graduated with a B.A. from NYU.
