Michael Jones

Michael Jones is the Chief Executive Officer of CandleScience, where they guide a team that supports thousands of DIY consumers, hobbyists, small businesses, and indie brands by offering thoroughly tested, reasonably priced ingredients and supplies to make candles, reed diffusers, room and linen sprays, and soap. They previously served as Senior Vice President and Chief Consumer Officer at Shutterfly, and were the CEO of Spoonflower, which Shutterfly acquired in 2021 for $225 million. They have over 25 years of experience in e-commerce, SaaS, marketplaces and technology, and have led or been on the executive of multiple successful company exits. They are a limited partner at Bull City Venture Partners and at Triangle Tweener Fund, and serve on the board of Givebacks and as an advisory board member at Reveal Mobile. They earned a B.A. in Speech Communication from Eastern Illinois University and an A.A. in Liberal Arts from Parkland College.
