Thomas Simar is currently the Head of Investment Market Risk at Candriam, a position held since 2010. Previously, they served as a Senior Asset Manager focused on Structured Products at Candriam from 2005 to 2010. Thomas also held the roles of Senior Investment Manager at ING Investment Management from 2001 to 2005 and Portfolio Manager at Deutsche Bank in 2000. Their early career included the role of Investment Manager in Institutional Portfolio Management at Fortis Investments from 1998 to 2000. Thomas holds a master's degree in Mineral Economics from the Colorado School of Mines, an Ingenieur en Economie et Gestion de l'Entreprise, and an Ingenieur Civil in Applied Mathematics from UCLouvain.
