Michael Best

Michael Best is currently the General Manager of Fiber Procurement & Residuals - West Region at Canfor, overseeing log procurement for mills in AL, AR, LA, and MS. Prior to this, Michael worked as the Area Fiber Procurement Manager for Canfor Southern Pine sawmills in AR and MS. Michael also has experience in wood procurement at WestRock and owning a forestry consulting business at Neches Hardwood Management. With a background in forestry from the University of Arkansas at Monticello, Michael has held various management roles in the timber industry, including Operations Manager at Temple-Inland and Harvest Operations Manager at Anderson-Tully Company. Additionally, Michael has experience as a Hardwood Forest Supervisor and Herbicide Application Forester at Timberland.
