Robert Oklen

Robert Oklen is an experienced Shift Engineer and Shift Supervisor with a strong background in power engineering and plant operations, currently serving at Canfor since April 2015. Responsibilities include overseeing the Steam/Recovery Department, supervising a team of power engineers and wood-yard workers, managing work orders, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations. Prior to Canfor, Robert held various positions at Richardson International, including Chief Power Engineer and Utilities Supervisor, where duties included managing boilerhouse operations and HR functions. Earlier experience includes roles at Safeway Canada and the University of Northern British Columbia, alongside educational credentials including a 1st Class Power Engineering degree from the British Columbia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Northern British Columbia.
