Brian Kaplan

Brian Kaplan has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Brian currently serves as the Associate Director of Quality at CannonDesign since July 2021. In addition, they are the Dam Master at Stevens Lake Homeowners Association since July 2022. Previously, they worked as an Independent Consultant from March 2021 to July 2021. Prior to that, they were an Architect at WRNS Studio from March 2020 to March 2021. Brian also worked as an Adjunct Professor at the Fashion Institute of Technology from February 2012 to March 2020. From March 2011 to March 2020, they served as an Associate Director at Skidmore Owings & Merrill LLP (SOM). Brian was a Board Member at IIDA New York Chapter from 2009 to 2014. Brian also worked as an Associate at Studios Architecture from May 2008 to March 2011, as an Associate at Mancini Duffy from February 2004 to May 2008, and as a Project Architect at BL Companies from October 2001 to October 2003.

Brian Kaplan attended Brooklyn Technical High School from 1986 to 1990, where they obtained a Regents Diploma in Architecture. Brian then went on to study at Pratt Institute from 1990 to 1995, earning a B. Arch degree with a specialization in Architecture. In terms of additional certifications, they obtained the WELL AP certification from the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) in March 2018, the AIA certification from The American Institute of Architects (AIA) in January 2004, and has certifications pending from the IIDA, LEED AP, and the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB).
