Daniel Beatty has a diverse range of work experience in the field of architecture. Daniel started their career as a Design-Build Mentee in the ACE Mentor Program, where they had the opportunity to work alongside professionals from various disciplines. Following this, they served as a CAD Draftsman for Whitelock Community Farm, creating as-built drawings for urban farm structures. Daniel then shadowed Brown Craig Turner Architects as a Mentee, gaining insight into the design-build industry.
In 2016, Daniel worked as a Summer Intern at AIABaltimore, followed by positions as an Architectural Intern at both Torti Gallas and Partners, Inc. and Hord Coplan Macht. During this time, they honed their skills and gained practical experience in architectural design.
In 2017, Daniel took a break from architecture to serve as a Community Volunteer with InterVarsity Christian Fellowship, where they lived and worked in an inner-city community in Washington, DC, facilitating conversation between different ethnic groups.
Most recently, Daniel has been working as an Architectural Designer at CannonDesign since 2019. Overall, their work experience demonstrates their passion for design, their commitment to community service, and their dedication to developing their skills in the field of architecture.
Daniel Beatty received their Master of Architecture - MArch degree from Morgan State University, where they studied architecture from 2017 to 2019. Prior to this, they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Architecture & Environmental Design from the same university between 2013 and 2017. Daniel also completed their high school education at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute from 2009 to 2013, where they focused on engineering. In addition to their formal education, Daniel obtained a certification in "15 Secrets Successful People Know About Time Management (getAbstract Summary)" from LinkedIn in June 2020.
