Eric Shamp has a comprehensive work experience in the architecture and design industry. Eric is currently working as an Associate Vice President at CannonDesign since May 2022. Before that, they served as a Principal at Ecotype Consulting for a remarkable period of 14 years, from January 2008 to July 2022. Prior to that, they held the position of Sustainable Design Director at HMC Architects from December 2000 to January 2008. Eric's early career began at Lockwood, Andrews & Newnam, Inc. in June 1996, where they worked as a Project Coordinator, primarily focusing on industrial and aerospace facilities, and later on, sports and event facilities.
Eric Shamp attended Rice University from 1989 to 1996, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Art/Art History. In terms of certifications, they became an Architect through the California Architects Board in July 2002 and achieved NCARB certification from the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards in the same month and year. Additionally, Eric obtained the LEED Accredited Professional Building Design + Construction certification from the Green Building Certification Institute in May 2002. Later, in April 2015, they obtained the Commissioning Process Management Professional certification from ASHRAE.
