Mark Olsen has extensive work experience in various roles within the technology and design field.
Mark started their career at CannonDesign in 1994 as an Electrical Engineer, where they were responsible for the design and documentation of electrical systems for various facilities. Mark also served as a Network Administrator, managing the local area network and workstations for 80+ users in the Saint Louis branch.
In 2002, Mark took on the role of Computer Aided Design Manager at CannonDesign, where they maintained AutoCAD systems and licenses for multiple offices globally. Mark developed custom drawing and documentation tools, resulting in increased productivity and reduced errors. Mark also worked with the IT staff to develop automated rollout software and workstation standards for CAD users.
In 2006, Mark joined Cignal Systems Inc as a Design Engineer, where they developed audio, video, and theatrical lighting designs for a range of clients. Mark also served as a project manager for installations, overseeing the ordering of equipment, directing installers, and commissioning projects upon completion.
In 2009, Mark took on the additional role of Network Administrator at Cignal Systems Inc. Mark managed Windows servers and user workstations for all company users, maintained and upgraded hardware and software, and developed and maintained an Intranet and Customer Relations Management database.
Currently, Mark is working at CannonDesign as a Senior Technology Engineering Designer, starting in 2023. Further details of this role are not provided.
Mark Olsen attended The University of Kansas from 1989 to 2004, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Architectural Engineering. In addition to their degree, Mark also holds several certifications. Mark obtained the Q-Sys Control certification from QSC in November 2018, the Q-Sys Level 2 Certification from QSC in March 2018, the Dante Certification Level 2 from Audinate in March 2017, and the Certified Technology Specialist certification from AVIXA in August 2006. Mark also received the International Illumination Design Award from the Illuminating Engineering Society in 1997, and they obtained the EIT certification from NCEES in June 1994.
