Matthew Dates

Matthew Dates started their career in 2001 as a Structural Engineer at Cannon Design. Matthew later joined Wendel Duchscherer in 2006 as an Associate Principal and Project Manager. In 2009, they became an Adjunct Professor at the University at Buffalo. Matthew returned to Cannon Design in 2011, this time holding the role of Vice President and Business Practice Leader, responsible for implementing commercial, legal, and process practices for 200 employees in two offices.

Matthew Dates attended Virginia Tech from 1990 to 1995, where they obtained a Bachelor of Architecture (BARCH) degree and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE). Matthew then pursued further education at Virginia Tech from 1995 to 1996, earning a Master of Engineering in Structural Engineering with a focus on Structures.
