SVP, Engineering at Canoe Ventures

Tim Smith has a wide range of work experience that spans from the 1980s to the current decade. Tim held various leadership positions in many different organizations, starting as VP of Technical Operations in TCI Cable. In 1998, they moved to Qwest Communications, where they became an Exec Director of Strategic Applications. After that, they founded their own company, High Draw Consulting, while also working as a Vice President of Operations for VIA Net.works and VIA NET.WORKS USA. Later, they worked as a Business Operations Consultant in Team Doctors Preferred Access before joining DigiForge, LLC, where they were a VP of Program Management. In 2012, they founded Digital Beam, LLC, where they worked as a Founder/Managing Director until they were hired by Canoe Ventures in 2019. In Canoe Ventures, they initially worked as a VP of Program Management and Architecture and later got promoted to SVP of Engineering.

Tim Smith attended Southern Polytechnic State University from 1981 to 1985, where they earned a BS in Electrical Engineering.
