Jay Chen

Jay Chen is an experienced project manager with a strong background in telecommunications and engineering. Currently serving as a Project Manager for the Device Program at Canonical, Jay Chen enables seamless integration of custom hardware with Ubuntu, focusing on long-term support and maintenance. Previously, Jay Chen worked as an Independent Consultant for JMAL IT Consulting and held senior roles at Sierra Wireless, including Senior Manager of PMO, where successful module integrations were delivered, and NVIDIA, where leadership in customer programs resulted in numerous mobile product shipments globally. Earlier positions include significant contributions at companies such as Texas Instruments and Maryland Semiconductor Inc, emphasizing RF system validation and engineering support. Jay Chen holds a Master’s degree in Telecommunications from the University of Maryland and a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Engineering from National Chiao Tung University.
