Andrew Howarth

Andrew Howarth currently serves as Group General Counsel for Canopius Group, a position held since October 2019. Prior experience includes roles as General Counsel at AmTrust at Lloyd's from November 2016 to September 2019, and Senior Legal Counsel at ANV from October 2015 to November 2016. Andrew's legal career also includes positions as Group Claims & Underwriting Counsel at XL Catlin and Catlin, and Solicitor at Reynolds Porter Chamberlain. Early career experience involved stagiaire positions at Alonso Armand Boedels y Associados and Armand Boedels & Associés. Andrew holds an LLB Hons in French & Law from the University of the West of England and a Diploma in Corporate Governance from The Corporate Governance Institute, with legal training completed at BPP Law School.
