Tom Webster

Tom Webster has a strong background in data management and business intelligence. Tom is currently the Head of Data at Canopius Group since April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as a BI/Data Warehouse Consultant at Prudentia Solutions from September 2019 to June 2021. Tom also held roles at MS Amlin, where they served as the IFRS17 Programme Test Manager from January 2019 to September 2019, and as the IFRS17 Programme Data Warehouse Project Manager from September 2018 to December 2018. Tom has experience as a Data Warehouse/Data Migration Project Manager at Amtrust at Lloyds from April 2017 to August 2018. Tom has also worked as a Multinational Project Manager at QBE Insurance in January 2017 and as a BI Consultant at Tokio Marine HCC from September 2016 to November 2016. Prior to that, Tom worked as the Head of Business Intelligence at Tokio Marine HCC from April 2009 to July 2016, overseeing a Greenfield BI solution project and establishing the BI function and delivery capability. Tom also held roles at Brit Insurance as a BI Project Manager from August 2007 to December 2008, and at QBE Insurance as a BI Project Manager/Technical Lead from October 2001 to August 2007. At QBE Insurance, Tom defined the enterprise information, master data management, and BI strategy. Tom began their career at Capgemini as a Senior Developer, working on various client projects and delivering several projects from August 1998 to September 2001.

Tom Webster attended the University of Birmingham from 1994 to 1998, where they obtained a first-class MEng Lang degree in Mechanical Engineering with French.
