Alan Andersen has a decade of experience in software engineering. From 2009 to 2015, they worked at various companies including Wal-Mart, Deep Clarity Solutions, Verisk Property Estimating Solutions (formerly Xactware), and Xactware. At Wal-Mart, they designed and created an application to perform CRUD for internal customers as part of a large automated invoice processing system. At Deep Clarity Solutions, they designed and created a front-end for a proprietary Medical Claims decision support tool and an administration interface for report management and batch processing in an AJAX data grid. At Verisk Property Estimating Solutions, they were a Software Engineer. At Xactware, they were also a Software Engineer. In 2007, they were a Web Content Intern at Certiport, where they created and updated web pages with HTML and CSS in Adobe Dreamweaver. From 2009 to 2015, they were also self-employed as a web architect, designer, and programmer. In 2015, they joined Canopy as a Principal Backend Engineer and Backend Technical Lead. In this role, they architected and implemented a service for third-party integrations, with QuickBooks Online as the primary integration. Alan also analyzed hundreds of pages of technical IRS documentation to meet their API specifications over XML/SOAP, and designed and implemented an XML to JSON conversion library to meet IRS requirements and Canopy’s internal requirements.
Alan Andersen attended Brigham Young University, where they obtained a degree in Information Systems in 2006-2008, with a focus in Business and Technology.
