Jim Walker has more than 30 years of professional experience in Sales, Marketing, Sales Operations and National Accounts management in the medical device sector. His experience spans both domestic and international responsibilities, with a focus on strategic market development and key customer management.
In Jim’s 18-year tenure as a sales executive with Boston Scientific Corporation (BSC), he established the company as a recognized leader with Group Purchasing Organizations and created a world-class Corporate Sales organization that represented the full BSC portfolio to supply chain executives across every level of market aggregation, including Group Purchasing Organizations, National and Regional Integrated Delivery Networks, and National and Regional Purchasing Alliances. He was the lead strategic pricing advisor for the company and gained the support of the executive management team to invest in and develop an enterprise-wide contract management system that provides global pricing intelligence and profitability analysis capabilities.
Jim served on the company’s Operating Committee and advised BSC international executives on strategies for managing market globalization and the increasing focus on economic value. He also served on the GHX Board of Directors and on their European President’s Council through 2012.
Early in his career Jim had a successful tenure with Johnson & Johnson as Director of Sales of the Orthopedic Implant division and of the Hospital Services division. Prior to founding ASPI in 2018, Jim successfully represented numerous device companies with major U.S and Global customers and also consulted to SMI, an industry collaborative of major U.S. IDN Supply Chain Executives. Jim holds a B.S. in Education from Northeastern University.
