Chris Allan is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as Director of Accounts & Partnerships for Asia Pacific at NATS since October 2018, after holding various leadership roles within the company, including Head of Solutions Development - International and Senior Solutions Lead - International. Allan also serves as a full member of CANSO APAC since January 2022. Previously, Chris held significant positions at the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority from May 2012 to October 2018, including Project Director for the UAE Airspace Restructuring Project, which introduced a pioneering airspace structure based on Performance Based Navigation. Earlier in Chris's career at NATS from June 1998 to May 2012, roles included Manager of Customer Affairs & Operational Interfaces and Manager of Procedures & Development. Educational qualifications include a Higher National Diploma in Business Studies from Southampton Institute.

CANSO – the Civil Air Navigation Services Organisation – is the global voice of air traffic management (ATM) worldwide. CANSO Members support almost 90% of world air traffic. Members share information and develop new policies, with the ultimate aim of improving air navigation services (ANS) on the ground and in the air. CANSO represents its Members’ views to a wide range of aviation stakeholders, including the International Civil Aviation Organization, where it has official Observer status. CANSO has an extensive network of Associate Members drawn from across the aviation industry.
