Charles Verdad is an experienced software engineer specializing in infrastructure and reliability, currently contributing to Canva since March 2019 by developing Observability tools and enhancing system reliability. Prior experience includes freelancing for InvestEd Philippines, where backend infrastructure for a money-lending startup was constructed using technologies such as Python and Kubernetes. As Lead Data Engineer at Kalibrr, Charles directed a team in designing and implementing a comprehensive data pipeline and warehouse, leveraging tools like BigQuery and Kafka.
