Clayton Lan

Clayton Lan is a Frontend Software Engineer at Canva since February 2023, focusing on enhancing global access to premium offerings. Previously, Clayton served as a Software Engineer at Airwallex, where responsibilities included building a seamless developer experience for SME and Platform customers using React. As a Graduate Software Engineer at Datacom, Clayton migrated AWS EC2 services into Docker containers on AWS EKS and Kubernetes, implementing CI/CD workflows. Clayton co-founded the Developers Society, New Zealand's largest technology club, aimed at equipping students with essential skills for the technology industry. Earlier internships at Orion Health and Datacom allowed Clayton to enhance UX for healthcare software and develop a machine-learning search engine, respectively. Clayton holds a Bachelor of Engineering (First Class Honours) in Software Engineering from The University of Auckland.
