Daniel Bishop

Daniel Bishop is an Associate Software Engineer (Backend) at Canva since February 2024, with previous experience as a Junior Software Engineer at VXT from November 2022 to November 2023, where contributions included headset integration and improved HubSpot functionality. At VXT, Daniel also served as a Software Engineer Intern, contributing to the development of a cloud-based communication platform. In addition to technical roles, Daniel held positions within the University of Canterbury Computer Society as Social Media Manager and 2nd Year Representative, and worked as an Academic Tutor in Computer Science and Statistics. Earlier experience includes roles as a Casual Farm Assistant at Coringa Park Dairies and a Farm Assistant at Little Ridge Farm. Daniel earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Canterbury, supplemented with studies at the University of Nottingham. Academic achievements include NCEA Level 3 endorsed with Excellence from St Andrew's College, New Zealand.
