Hanna Nowicka

Hanna Nowicka is a Machine Learning Engineer currently working at Canva since April 2024, where contributions include the development of Magic Formulas for Canva Sheets, launched at Canva Create 2025. Prior experience includes a role at Seer from February 2022 to February 2024, applying advanced machine learning models to detect epileptic events from brain data. Hanna served as a tutor for the FSL course at the FMRIB Centre, University of Oxford, and held an AI Resident position at X, the moonshot factory, focusing on mental health through EEG data analysis. Doctoral research was conducted at the FMRIB Centre, WIN, University of Oxford, specializing in multimodal brain MR imaging. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Biomedical Imaging from the University of Oxford and an Engineer’s Degree in Biomedical Engineering from Wrocław University of Science and Technology.
