Joel Nothman is a full-stack software engineering leader and machine learning engineer currently serving as a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Canva. With a strong background in natural language processing, open-source software engineering, and data science consultancy, they have made significant contributions to notable projects like Scikit-learn, NLTK, and Pandas. Joel holds dual Bachelor's degrees in Linguistics and Computer Science, as well as a PhD in Computer Science, all from the University of Sydney.
