Michael Yates

Michael Yates is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in software engineering and management. Currently, Michael serves as a Senior Engineering Manager at Canva since September 2023. Prior to this role, Michael held various leadership positions at Domain from October 2018 to May 2023, including Head of Technology for Agent Services and Platforms, as well as Technical Director - Mobile. Michael's experience also includes a significant tenure at the Australian Broadcasting Corporation as a Mobile Tech Lead, overseeing a team of app engineers. Previous roles encompass project management at Paloma Mobile, software engineering at Myriad Group AG and biNu, as well as senior software positions at uiActive and Nortel Networks. Michael earned a degree in Computer Engineering and Computer Science from the University of Newcastle between 1996 and 2000.
