Peter Ayre is a seasoned data science professional with extensive experience in leading data-driven initiatives. Currently, as a Senior Lead Data Scientist at Canva since February 2022, Peter drives subscription revenue through data insights and tools. Previously, as Lead Data Scientist at Woolworths Group from June 2019 to February 2022, and in various roles including Advanced Analytics & Transformation Manager, Peter designed and implemented large-scale analytics solutions that transformed business decision-making. Peter's foundation in data science began as a Data Science Analyst at Commonwealth Bank from November 2010 to January 2012 and further developed through consultancy at A.T. Kearney. In addition to professional experience, Peter founded a successful mathematics tutoring college, QED Education, which served over 400 students weekly and achieved notable financial success. Peter holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Mathematics from UNSW, complemented by a Visiting Fellowship at Goethe University Frankfurt and a Bachelor of Science in Advanced Mathematics with First Class Honours from UNSW.
