Richard Olson has extensive experience in networking and infrastructure, currently serving as Tech Lead for the Core Infra Group at Canva since June 2022, following roles as Team Lead for Cloud Networking and Infrastructure Engineer. Prior to Canva, Richard worked at Amazon Web Services (AWS) as a Solutions Architect, where responsibilities included designing and maintaining cloud infrastructure. Previous positions also include Systems Engineer roles at Juniper Networks and F5, focusing on automated networks and pre-sales technical support for government clients. Richard has held senior roles at Telstra and Optus, leading significant projects for Federal Government accounts, and possesses a Master’s degree in Networking and Systems Administration from Charles Sturt University.
