Steve Roberts

Steve Roberts is an experienced engineering manager with a diverse background in product design, development, and consulting. Currently serving as Engineering Manager at Canva since December 2024, Steve previously held similar positions at EthicalJobs.com.au and Common Code, where contributions included heading engineering and delivery initiatives. With prior experience at Xero as Development Team Lead and involvement in a startup, xLabs, as Co-Founder/Product Lead, Steve has a strong record in modernizing user experience in legacy systems and pioneering innovative gaze tracking technology. Additional roles include leading product design at the University of Queensland and consultancy work focused on web and mobile solutions. Steve holds a Bachelor of Arts in Cultural Studies from The University of Western Australia.
