CAP SA is a Chile-based company primarily engaged in the steel industry. The Company's activities are divided into four business segments: Mining, Steel, Steel Processing and Infrastructure. The Mining division focuses on the extraction, processing and sale of minerals. The Steel division is responsible for the production of finished steel, which is produced from liquid steel by reduction of iron ore in blast furnaces. The Steel Processing division provides processing of steel for various sectors, such as construction, industry and infrastructure. The Infrastructure division includes development of seawater desalination system and power transmission lines, as well as operation of port terminal. The Company operates through numerous subsidiaries, such as Cleanairtech Sudamerica SA, Tecnocap SA and Puerto Las Losas SA.
