Joyce Hepler

Sr. Education Project Specialist at CAP Tulsa

Joyce Hepler has a strong background in the field of education and has held various roles throughout their career. Joyce started working at Community Action Project Tulsa, OK in 1999 as an Infant Toddler Curriculum Specialist, a role they held until December 2009. Joyce then joined Tulsa Educare, Inc. in December 2009 as a Master Teacher until September 2011. In August 2012, they transitioned to CAP Tulsa as a Professional Development Specialist, where they developed partnerships with OECP partners and CAP Tulsa Instructional Coaches and Site Directors. Joyce provided ongoing professional development training and served as a mentor/coach, setting goals through collaborative meetings and reflective practice. Joyce currently holds the position of Sr. Education Project Specialist at CAP Tulsa, a role they have been in since February 2018.

Joyce Hepler obtained their Bachelor of Science in Education in Early Childhood Education and Teaching, as well as Elementary Education, from Northwestern State University in Tahlequah, OK. Joyce attended this school from 1996 to 1999.

Following this, Joyce pursued higher education at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences from 2004 to 2007. During their time there, they earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Teaching, Learning, Leadership, with an emphasis in Curriculum.

In addition to their formal education, Joyce also obtained a certification in "The Program for Infant Toddler Care" from West Ed-The Center for Child and Family Studies in October 2012.
