Fred McIntyre

Fred McIntyre has worked in a variety of roles in the technology industry since 2012. In 2012, they began working as an advisor for SoundHound Inc., a company that turns sound into understanding and actionable meaning. Fred also became an advisor for Tout, a real-time mobile video publishing platform. In 2014, they began working as an advisor for 8tracks, a music streaming platform, and Mixcloud, an online music streaming service. In 2015, they became an advisor for BandLab Technologies, a collective of companies that connect digital and physical aspects of music creation and consumption through technology and social engagement.

In 2018, Fred began working as a Senior Advisor for Jobs for the Future, where they advised senior leadership on strategies and programs for collaboration with corporate and technology partners. In 2020, they began working as Innovation & Business Development for Mattress Firm. In 2022, they began working as an Advisor for MDSV Capital and Bull City Venture Partners. Additionally, they have been working as Managing Director for Capacitance since 2012, where they advise high-growth startups, venture funds and large organizations going through digital transformation.

Fred McIntyre completed a Bachelor of Arts in History from Duke University between 1985 and 1989.
