Jason Akers

Jason Akers, CPA, CA, is currently the Associate Director and Financial Controller for CAPCO Canada, a business and technology management consultancy owned by Wipro. Previously, they served as the Director of Finance at Fresh City, where they led financial reporting, budgeting, and payroll for multiple business units. Jason has held various roles, including Controller at Brunswick Bierworks and Accounting Manager at Stanley Black & Decker, overseeing period-end financial reporting and compliance. They began their career as a Senior Audit Associate at RSM Richter and also worked as an Audit Manager at EY, specializing in audit and advisory services for privately held entities. Jason earned a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting from Queen's University and studied business at BI Norwegian Business School.
