Cape Farewell pioneers the cultural response to climate change.

Scientists struggle to communicate the impact of anthropogenic climate change on a human scale, or provide imaginative tools to transform present concerns into flourishing futures. A cultural reorientation is required to address the problem, and a creative shift to evolve and map new solutions.  Cape Farewell harnesses the affective power of the creative sector, inspiring exceptional artists across all media to participate in the most profound issue of our times, and to become active agents in the adaptive imagining of viable futures. 

Working through an ambitious programme of exploration, Cape Farewell embeds a diverse range of artists with scientists on a series of expeditions to the front lines of climate change, stimulating the creation of new artworks that inspire the wider public to engage with the climate challenge.
