CapeXit NPO is a non-profit organisation committed to advancing the democratic right of self-determination for the people of the Western Cape. Our mission is to pursue independence through peaceful, lawful, and constitutional means, ensuring that local communities can build a future aligned with their unique identity, culture, and aspirations.

The organisation’s work is grounded in both South African and international law, specifically:

Article 235 of the South African Constitution, which provides for the right to self-determination.

Article 1 of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights.

Article 20 of the African Charter on Human and Peoples' Rights.

Various other conventions undersigned by the South African Government.

CapeXit NPO serves as a unifying platform for individuals, communities, and organisations who believe that a sovereign Western Cape, founded on non-racialism, democratic values, and economic pragmatism, offers the best opportunity for prosperity and stability.

Through civic education, advocacy, and the pursuit of a legally recognised referendum, we strive to empower citizens to determine their own destiny. Our work is guided by principles of peace, inclusivity, and respect for all communities indigenous to the Cape who share a common vision of freedom and self-governance.

Our Vision:
A free, sovereign, and prosperous Western Cape where governance is accountable, communities thrive, and people’s rights are fully respected.
