Hans Appelo

Hans Appelo is an accomplished enterprise data manager with extensive experience in data management and business intelligence. At Capfin since February 2015, Hans leads initiatives to implement technical infrastructure and manage visualization and analytics platforms, supporting data assets for business analytics and automated decision-making. Previously, as a data architect, Hans defined the vision and standards for data management. From April 2004 to January 2015, Hans served as a senior BI architect at Datasmith, where responsibilities included the implementation of ERP solutions and management of a BI department. Earlier roles included group IS manager at Kgalagadi Breweries Limited and technical manager at Unique Technologies (Pty) Ltd. Hans holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting and Economics from UNISA and a BSc in Engineering with a specialization in Electronics from the University of Pretoria.
