Alan Rowles

Alan Rowles is a seasoned professional in data management and technical consulting, currently serving as the Head of Data Centre of Excellence at Capita since April 2019. In this role, Alan has overseen the consolidation and integration of multiple data teams into a more streamlined structure as part of a larger organizational transformation. Prior to this, Alan held the position of Head of Data Services at Capita from June 2006 to June 2018, where responsibilities included driving strategy, sales, and leading teams in various data-related disciplines. Alan also served as Head of DBA Competency, focusing on integrating and restructuring DBA teams for Capita Business Services. Before joining Capita, Alan spent nearly a decade at SmartStream Technologies as a Senior Technical Consultant, working with top global banks and developing a diverse skill set in database technologies and systems administration. Alan holds a BA(Hons) in Systems Analysis from the University of the West of England.
