Thomas Chalmers

Thomas Chalmers currently serves as a Network Design Consultant at Capita, collaborating with the University of Glasgow since October 2023. Prior to this role, Thomas held the position of Network Consultant/Senior Project Manager at CAE Technology Services, where significant contributions included the design and deployment of a Cisco Meraki SD-WAN solution for Pernod-Ricard and improvements to LAN and WiFi solutions. Thomas has extensive experience in network architecture and consultancy, having worked as a Network Enterprise Architect at Police Scotland, Senior Network Technician at ACCESS LLP - Glasgow City Council, and Network and Communications Architect at Legatum, among other roles. Early career experience includes positions at Glasgow Housing Association, NHS Lothian, Robert Wiseman Dairies, East End Partnership, and British Energy, showcasing a strong background in ICT and network engineering. Thomas is also an alumnus of the University of the West of Scotland.
