Donald H. Chace, PhD, MSFS, FADLM, is a leading expert in precision microsampling and mass spectrometry, with a focus on newborn metabolic screening. They were instrumental in developing the Tandem Mass Spectrometry test for amino acids and acylcarnitines, implemented while a medical research assistant professor at Duke University Medical Center. Currently a principal scientist at Capitainer, they are advancing the use of quantitative dried microsamples and leading a new lab in Rhode Island. With over 40 years of experience in mass spectrometry, they have published more than 100 peer-reviewed articles and have contributed extensively to education in the field.
