Bryan Smith

Bryan Smith has a wealth of experience in the capital markets and real estate industries. Bryan began their career in 2003 as a Director at Orion Group in Johannesburg. In 2008, they became a Real Estate Developer at Blackstar Property Inc. and was later appointed Chief Executive Officer of a Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE) public REIT. In 2014, they co-founded RealtyWealth Inc., one of the original pioneers of online real estate crowdfunding in the US, and subsequently raised over $285 million of capital fundraising (debt and equity) from South African banks and other financial institutions for commercial property and development projects. In 2017, they were appointed Director of Capital Markets at Zebra REIT and, in 2018, they became Managing Director of Capital Markets at RealConnex.com. In 2021, they co-founded Block Engine Digital, a blockchain initiative and platform for issuing digital tokens and managing digital assets, and also became a Registered Representative at Young America Capital & YA Partners Reg CF portal. Finally, in 2022, they were appointed Managing Partner at USA REIT.

Bryan Smith obtained a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Wales in 2000, majoring in Venture Creation, Startup & Early Stage Development. Bryan obtained a degree in Civil Engineering from the University of the Witwatersrand in 1991. Bryan graduated from King Edward VII School in 1983. In 2021, they obtained a Series 22 certification from FINRA and is currently in the process of obtaining a Securities Industry Essentials\u00ae (SIE) certification from FINRA.
