Dan Hey is an experienced software engineer and technical leader with a diverse background in web development and legal technology. Starting as a Senior Litigation Paralegal at Niro Law, Ltd. from 2005 to 2016, Dan transitioned to web development, gaining expertise through various roles, including Web Developer and Technical Lead at The Difference Engine, and Software Developer at Chapman and Cutler LLP. At Actualize Coding Bootcamp & Apprenticeship, Dan served as a Contract Web Developer and later as Technical Team Lead, mentoring new graduates. Dan continued to advance in the tech industry with positions at HERE Technologies and Groupon, ultimately becoming a Senior Software Engineer and then a Lead Software Engineer at Capital One. Dan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Graphical Arts and Animation from DePaul University and completed full stack web development training through Anyone Can Learn to Code.
