Eric Loucks is a Director of Software Engineering with a strong background in both chemistry and software development. They began their academic journey at the University of Richmond, where they earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry with Honors, Magna Cum Laude, from 2012 to 2015. Eric's professional experience includes serving as a Laboratory Teaching Assistant and a Researcher in Computational Chemistry at the University of Richmond, where they contributed to important projects in the field. They worked at Capital One, progressing from Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer and eventually to Senior Manager, leading efforts to modernize cloud infrastructure and compliance evaluation. Currently, Eric continues to lead teams at Capital One, focusing on developing innovative cloud tools at scale.
