Hannah Read, PhD, is a mixed-methods researcher specializing in ethics and empathy, with over nine years of international experience managing interdisciplinary research projects. They completed their PhD at Duke University, an MA at Tufts, and a BA at The New School. Currently, they are a Manager of Gen AI Policy at Capital One and hold a recent role as a Researcher at Duke University, along with prior experience in responsible AI consulting at AnswerLab and as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Wake Forest University. Hannah has taught undergraduate and graduate courses on topics such as ethics, responsible AI, and human-computer interactions in various regions, including the U.S. and the Middle East.
