Katelyn Stringer

Katelyn Stringer is a data scientist and astronomer with a background in time series analysis and classification of variable stars. While pursuing a PhD in Astronomy at Texas A&M University, Katelyn specialized in research involving sparse and noisy data, contributing to the Dark Energy Survey by locating thousands of old variable stars. Katelyn has held positions as a data science intern and is currently a data science manager at Capital One. Committed to inclusivity in science, Katelyn has devoted significant time to outreach efforts, believing that science is for everyone.
