Michael Smith

Michael Joshua Smith is a Lead Software Engineer at Capital One, focused on building scalable cloud-native applications with AWS, Python, Java, and PySpark. Previously, Michael held various roles at GE Power, including leading enterprise cloud migrations and designing security applications. Michael has also worked as a software engineering consultant and gained experience as an IT consultant, web developer intern, and peer tutor during their educational journey. Holding a master's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech, Michael is AWS-certified and passionate about leveraging cloud and AI technologies to address real-world challenges.
