Alec Macrae

Alec Macrae is an accomplished engineering, data, and product leader with experience in guiding R&D and data teams at Hum Capital, where they hold the position of Head of Quant and Data Science and Engineering & Data Leader. Previously, Alec played a pivotal role as Lead Data Scientist at BBVA's New Digital Business and was the first Data Scientist at Upturn, building its data science capabilities from the ground up. Earlier roles include data engineering and scientific research positions at PokitDok, LeanTaas, and Stanford's Human Performance Lab. Alec earned a Master of Science in Bioinformatics from Stanford University, further solidifying their expertise in data-driven innovation.
