Lukas Deeg has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Lukas started their career as a Business Analyst at Syncrude Canada Ltd. in 2002, where they worked until October 2002. In 2003, they joined Imperial Oil as a Natural Gas Liquid Business Analyst, and they stayed with the company until December 2003. In 2004, Lukas briefly worked at EPCOR as a Strategic Valuation Analyst. From 2005 to 2008, they held the role of Territory Operations Manager at Imperial Oil in the Industrial and Wholesale Fuels Marketing department. Lukas then moved to a Logistics Coordinator and Sales Representative position at Imperial Oil's Marine Fuels Marketing division from February 2008 to September 2008. Lukas then took on the role of Product Distribution Scheduler in the Supply and Transportation department at Imperial Oil from October 2008 to October 2009. In 2009, they joined Capital Power as a Market Specialist and later became the Manager of Power Market Assessment and Modeling from June 2010 to August 2013. Lukas then transitioned to the role of Budget and Forecasts Specialist from September 2013 to August 2014. In August 2014, Lukas became a Commercial Management Specialist at Capital Power, and in December 2017, they assumed the responsibility of Manager at the Energy Management Operations Centre. Currently, Lukas is serving as the Director of Emerging Business at Capital Power from June 2021.

Lukas Deeg completed their education at the University of Alberta from 2000 to 2005, where they pursued a Business degree with a major in Operations Management. Following this, they attended NAIT from 2011 to 2012 and obtained a Certificate in Project Management and Project Leadership.
