Mark Seidel

Mark Seidel, P.Eng, is an experienced engineering professional with a strong background in asset management, project engineering, and maintenance services. Currently serving as the Director of EAM & Asset Engineering at Capital Power since October 2019, Mark's responsibilities include overseeing multi-discipline plant engineering activities and optimizing project management processes. Prior to this role, Mark held various positions at AltaSteel Ltd., including Director of Engineering & Maintenance Services, where significant achievements included managing a diverse team and ensuring departmental budget adherence. Additional experience includes roles as Senior Manager of Electrical, Instrumentation, and Controls Engineering at Capital Power, along with significant contributions in previous positions in project engineering, reliability management, and electrical safety programs at various companies. Mark holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
